Elton John Keeps Sons Grounded By Giving Them Chores

Elton John is doing his utmost to keep his two sons grounded, by giving them chores and making them help out around the house.

The Rocket Man singer is father to Zachary, nine, and Elijah, six, with husband David Furnish. And despite the fact that the boys are growing up surrounded by luxury, thanks to their dad´s lucrative music career, Elton is doing his best to ensure they have a solid grounding in life.

"We try not to spoil them," he said, according to Britain´s The Sun newspaper. "They have £1 each a week pocket money. They have to do chores around the house.

"They help the gardeners, they take their plates out. They help tidy their rooms... It helps give them a sense of responsibility because, God knows, they don’t lead a normal life.”
